I'm Back!

February 21, 2019

Hey Guys!

It’s been a while, hasn’t it? You must have tons of questions. Where have I been? Why have I been so quiet? Most importantly, what has been keeping me so busy that I haven’t found the time to blog?

A Journey To Running My Own Business

For the past year, I have taken the plunge into the world of freelance writing. It is both infinitely rewarding and challenging AF. Around the time I stopped writing for myself, I began freelancing for a supplement manufacturer. I have now written more reviews and self-help articles than you would ever imagine. I trudged through countless mind-numbing articles about the health benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar and how going Keto would change your life. Before I knew it I had developed the ability to trust myself to spin boring information into something people actually wanted to read. Talk about a confidence boost!

Now, for the real reason I am here. As 2019 is progressing it has become increasingly clear to me that I need to start my own freelancing gig. Relying on one company to connect me with clients across the globe is just not working out for me. So, I have decided to dust off the old blog to document my experience as a freelance writer in South Africa. The road ahead may be a little rocky but I have a feeling that it is going to pay off in the long run.

It Won’t Be All Work

One of the main reasons I started this blog in the first place was to create a place where I can share my memories. So far I haven’t been doing a great job at that. The truth is, it’s really difficult to open up about myself. Give me any topic under the sun and I will be able to ramble on at great length. When I need to write something about myself, I am instantly filled with a sense of dread. This time around I intend to be a lot more transparent about myself. I won’t be putting my best foot forward. Instead, I hope to give you an honest look at what my life is like as a work at home mom with a busy toddler.

Stick around if you think this is a journey that you may be interested in following. I am going to be posting frequently in the coming weeks. Look out for tips and tricks for work at home moms, updates on my family and me, as well as the occasional recipe or serious research piece that I was particularly proud of.
